Nervous About Package 4? What to Expect and How to Prepare
By Tiffany Hair Salon Denver | October 23, 2026
If you’re nervous about booking Package 4, you’re not overthinking it. A lot of first-timers tell me they relax the moment they walk in because our space is impeccably clean and each stylist works in their own separate room. For your first Package 4 visit, I’ll keep it straightforward: we’ll start with a short consultation to confirm your goal, timing, and price, then we’ll do your full highlights, haircut, and finish with a style and quick home-care guidance. Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, bring a couple photos, and plan for enough time for full highlights, a haircut, and styling.
Before Package 4: 10 minutes of prep that saves you 30
Package 4 is Full Highlights + Cut and Style, starting at $345. The easiest way to get a result you love is to show me what you mean by “bright, ” “natural, ” or “blended.” Photos help a lot, even if you just have two: one you like, one you don’t.
Bring or send ahead: inspiration photos, a quick note of any recent hair color or lightener, and what you loved or hated about your last haircut.
If you’ve had anything “eventful” happen to your hair recently, like a box dye, a toner that went too dark, or a highlight session that left bands or brass, tell me up front. People come to our hair salon for color correction all the time because they were nervous to try again. I’d rather plan properly than surprise you at the bowl.
And yes, timing matters. If you’re squeezing this in after work in the Denver Tech Center corridor, block your calendar. Full highlights plus a haircut near you is not a 45-minute appointment, even when everything goes smoothly.
Inside your Package 4 appointment: highlights, haircut, then style
When you arrive, I’ll confirm exactly what’s included in your Package 4, the starting price, and a realistic time range before we mix a thing. That upfront clarity is a big reason new clients stop “rolling the dice” on their hair and start feeling comfortable again.
1) Consultation that actually gets specific
We’ll talk placement and brightness. Full highlights can mean very different things: soft ribbons through the top, lots of brightness around the face, or a more “icy” look that needs more saturation. I’ll also look at your previous hair color, your natural level, and your hair’s condition so we don’t chase a photo that doesn’t match your starting point.
2) Full highlights and processing time
During application, I check in. If you’re a little nervous, say so. Clients regularly mention that our stylists keep asking questions to make sure we’re on the same page. Processing time varies, so this is usually the part where you can relax. Some people even doze off during the blow-dry later, which tells me we’re doing something right.
3) Shampoo, tone if needed, then your haircut
After we rinse, we’ll decide if your highlights need a toner to land on the shade you want. Then we’ll move into the haircut. I’m big on showing you what I’m thinking, then checking in as I go. I’d rather do a couple extra minutes of refining than have you leave wishing the face framing was a little softer.
4) Finish and style
We’ll blow-dry and style, then I’ll show you how the highlights blend in different lighting. If you’re in Greenwood Village near E Peakview Ave and heading back to the DTC corridor after, you’ll leave polished, photo-ready, and not guessing how to recreate it.
After Package 4: how to keep highlights shiny (and your haircut behaving)
Right after highlights, your hair can feel extra clean and light. That’s normal. Your color may also look a touch brighter in the first day or two because fresh highlights catch light differently. A lot of people tell me they keep admiring their hair days later, which is exactly the point.
What I generally recommend after highlights: wait 24 to 48 hours before your next wash if you can, use a color-safe shampoo, and keep heat a little lower than you think you need. If you’re going for cooler blonde, ask me if a purple shampoo makes sense for your tone.
For rebooking, most highlight clients do best on a schedule. How soon depends on how high-contrast your natural is and how bright we went. If you like staying very light, you’ll probably come in sooner than someone who wants a softer grow-out. And if you’re also thinking about hair treatments like a keratin treatment or brazilian blowout, tell me. We’ll plan the order so you don’t waste time or money.
Quick note for the “hair salon near me” searchers who are new to the area: I see clients come in from Centennial, Lone Tree, Cherry Hills Village, Englewood, and Denver because it’s easy to get to us off I-25 in the DTC area.
A few Greenwood Village tips that calm first-timers fast
If you’re the kind of person who gets anxious walking into a new hair salon, here’s what helps most. First, arrive 10 to 15 minutes early. It gives you a minute to settle in, look at your photos, and not feel rushed. Parking is typically easy near E Peakview Ave, which is a small thing, but it changes the whole vibe of a first visit.
- Say the quiet part out loud. If your last experience went badly, tell me. We get a lot of “I was nervous to try someone new” clients, and that context helps.
- Use real words, not hair-speak. “I want it brighter around my face” is more helpful than “balayage” if you don’t mean balayage. I can absolutely do balayage, but I want the picture in your head.
- Don’t stack add-ons last minute. If you’re also thinking lash extensions, a lash fill, or brow shaping, plan it as a separate appointment unless we’ve mapped it out ahead of time.
If you want to see how our packages are set up before you choose, read our guide to salon packages in Greenwood Village and the DTC corridor. It’s the quickest way to make sure you’re booking the right thing.
